An Interesting Question,
And if pondered seriously a most disturbing dilemma. Does one consent to the paradigm and simply go shopping-long live freedom, the USA, and all King George the II encouraged after 9/11, YEAH, hurrah for the flag, go to Walmart, pick one up (made in China) to fly upon your car to show your patriotism--
Or do you look at the Country from a more far-reaching perspective, admit that it is troubled, and define your life view accordingly.
Perhaps from a somewhat regretful position I hold to the latter, aware it would be so much easier and less stressful to simply head to the mall, check out the chicks, buy some useless lead painted crap from China, come home, watch Reality TV and believe the media when they tell me I'm free.
Thankfully, I willing spare myself such spin and instead spend my time writing, twirling pixels, bits and bytes around my head like a shaman lost in the Borderlands, beyond the bounds of all things safe and sane. At this point all I can say is: Thank God for Canadian Whiskey and a good strong toke every now and then or I would surely go mad. And so on we go, the country on its last legs, everyone getting their kicks before the shit house goes up in flames (Thank you Jim Morrison for the soundbite). What I am trying to illustrate is this!
We are so paralyzed with fear as a Nation, so dumbed down and kicked around we have lost our will to survive. Look, it matters little how you or I have evolved into adulthood in this crazy land, get over that nonsense, the foolish prejudice of resenting those who are not like you, White, Black, Brown, Red and Golden, Men, Women, Young and Old, we're all in this thing together-- This is Our Country--
Yet, we're to the point that whether it is Republicans or Democrats with their hands on the dials the picture remains the same, controlled and in league, I contend, with powers more far reaching than mere countries. THE ONE WORLD ORDER is not a conspiracy theory any longer, they are openly hatching their plans, and could care less about the will of the people.
We have to realize before it's too late, our Country has been hijacked due to our ambivalence and pathetic lack of concern for anything but the moment, the time to act is now, and even then we have about as much chance as a snowball in hell of turning this thing around. But we must try if we are to leave anything for the children, anything for our legacy.
